March 4th, 2022 we celebrated our agents and their successes of 2021. We had a fantastic and intimate time as a family.
I was hesitant to share my opening remarks publicly because we are such a close-knit family and as you will read below, we have an amazing and rare culture that’s not very prevalent in the bloodsport we call Real Estate or any other business for that matter. Some may be actually be turned off by this and others will fall in love with us immediately. I have decided to share it because we have learned that “Our vibe attracts our tribe”. And the fact is that if this culture repels someone then that may be best for both of us.

I see you get out your checkbook when you accidentally represent a house to have city sewer and after closing the buyer learns that it actually has a failed septic system.

I see you adopting those kids that had no family that loved them and no future. You provide them with everything a child needs.

I see you serve on the board at Habitat for Humanity for many years and sell their houses for free. Just because you want to help the less fortunate have a place to live.

I see you pull your favors with your Heating and air guy to add ductwork at your own expense just to add a few more heated square feet to your seller’s house and save the deal.

I see you cleaning and hauling off the trash because your little elderly lady just couldn’t do it and you want to keep all parties happy or to maximize your her equity.

I see you rent a Uhaul and show up on moving day because your clients don’t have anyone to help or the money to rent the moving van.
I see you serving with the Gideons and loving on the community.

I see you when Amy pays you and she forgets to take out the Referal fee and you remind her to do it.
I see you…..
I see you selling that family’s house for free because they have a handicapped daughter that’s having multiple surgeries and they can’t meet their needs if they don’t get as much as they can.

I see you….. Defending the unborn in Asheville every single Saturday even in the rain.
I see you serving at your church every week and helping out the folks there every chance you get.
I see you…..
I see you promoting and working at the Blood drive.

I see you serving, ringing that bell, and raising money for the Salvation Army and our local community.
I see you..
I see you fostering those kids even though you already had a full house of your own.
I see you…..
I see you rallying around them and giving help and money so that the family that just doubled in size unexpectedly could have the things they need. Taking care of one of our own.
I see you…..
I see you delivering groceries, medicine and covering showings, and delivering earnest money checks when one….or 5 of you have Covid.
I see you meeting at the office to have a bible study and encourage one another.
I see you…..
I see you raising your kids, homeschooling them, keeping the house clean, and still selling a ton of Real Estate.
I see you…..
I see you give money and serve our community as they lose their homes to the storms and flooding.
I see you…..
I see how you hold your head up and serve your clients with a warm smile even tho some of them have treated you very badly and just ripped out of your heart.
I see you…..
I see you living out your faith every day in your life and in your business.
I see you doing the right thing even when you could get away with it.
I interviewed an agent a few weeks ago that will hopefully be joining us soon and as she left she told me that she’s done a few deals with our agents over the last few years and you have all been amazing to work with. She said she especially likes how you cared about her and her clients as much as you cared about yourself. She said you kept your cool and keep things running smoothly.
She said they even helped her keep her cool.
I see how you live and work and serve our community and serve each other. I see it and so do they. I am so proud of each and every one of you.
And….sometimes….we sell a little Real Estate!
