The turning leaves in the fall are a spectacular vision that changes constantly until the trees are bare which signals the onset of winter. Winter normally delivers only a light snowfall, just enough to transform the environment into a white wonderland for a brief period of time. Spring brings a renewal of lush green foliage with brilliant splashes of flower color everywhere. Champion Hills is for nature lovers.

Champion Hills Golf Course

Because it is designed as a golf community, Champion Hills surrounds a fabulous golf course with breath-taking views. The course is designed by Tom Fazio and is considered to be one of the best courses in North Carolina. Champion Hills Country Club is a debt-free member-owned club which insures that the community will have a stable club for many years to come. Although Champion Hills is a resort type of development in its setting and amenities, more than half of the residents choose to make Champion Hills their year round home. Hendersonville is a 10 minute drive for groceries and other essentials. Asheville, the home of the world renowned Biltmore estate and many other tourist attractions and exhibits is about a 30 minute drive.

The Community of Champion Hills

Most homes for sale in Champion Hills have magnificent year round views. The changing of the leaves in the fall is kinetic, so it provides a different hued scene daily. Homes for sale range from a low of about $400,000 for a townhouse or patio home up to several million for a more estate type residence. There is a wide range of architectural style, but the geography lends itself to craftsman and lodge style homes and this architectural quality is the most prevalent. There are a number of home sites available with spectacular views that are ready to build beginning at about $50,000.

Although the original appeal for this community was as a resort/retirement community, it has become the permanent home for many of its residents and has excellent public schools for k-12 levels with the Hendersonville Public School district. Hendersonville schools are proud of the highest graduation rate in the state of North Carolina. The SAT scores and ACT scores are well above state and federal averages.
